HACKING MY EDUCATION

The best way to go about this is to really think about what you are instructed in and how you can use that as an infinite stepping stone toward other things that would aid you. Example: I am good with film work, music, and animation so instead of writing an essay about a certain subject, why not make a short musical animation that could get your point a crossed and have others see from it that you really know what you're talking about.

THE CHOICE !

1. What is the "choice" referred to in the title? 
weather they will have to "poison" their daughter or she will do it her self !

2. Is it a real choice?  Why/why not?  What is the alternative?
Well I wouldn't say a choice but more like a chance, because it could safe her or not.

3. Why does the author use the word poison in the first line?
One, to really drag us (the reader) in, and to give the his actual outlook on the medicine.

4. The author's daughter wants to play with a toy that is intended for older kids.  Why?  Do you agree with her? 
 Because she feels as if time is running out for her. I don't really agree with the whole principle of it but it is such a sad sort that I would let her do anything just so she could smile and not think about dying. 

5. If you thought you might not live to the age of 30 what would you want to do right now?
Travel, make an amazing will, live everyday to the fullest, and leave this life with a great smile on my face.

6. Under what circumstances does it make sense to endure discomfort--or even force it on a loved one-- in service to a greater/more important cause?  
I guess in the cause of death or any other circumstance that would be detrimental to your life.

7. Is suffering a necessary condition of life and love?
It is not necessary but sometimes (like in this case) it is present. The best thing is to just roll with it for the universe will reward you for what you give back it it.

8. Most readers don't share the author's circumstances, but we feel an emotional response to his words.  Why? 
Because we all have to live with death. It is the one thing that is promised to all life, so in a way we all can have "the feels" for this story.

TOOLS THAT CHANGE THE WAY WE THINK

The biggest problem I have with this is that ONE, they can pretty much CONTROL OUR BRAINS ! and TWO we basically no longer Learn for ourselves and are just going to believe what ever is told to us. Now I haven't even addressed the case of viruses or other attacks by enemies. I don't think that people understand that...... (drum roll) IT IS OKAY IF SOME TECHNOLOGICAL IDEAS ARE NOT ACTUALLY DONE ! 

FILTER BUBBLES

Well I learned from this video that Fahrenheit 451 is actually happening but instead of erasing the information they are just making it blind to us, (different method but same effect.) Now I'm unsure of what I am actually being told by the internet EVEN MORE! I guess to me the biggest question right now is when will it be too much, or when will these filter bubbles seas to advance. The best thing to better your searches is to use sites like Duck Duck Go , which do not personalize your preferences in what you might be more interested to know.

Value of learning/ value of life

For this week me and my group are doig a quick review of Hamlet's "to be or not to be" speech.
On the agenda we are focausing on vocab, and a couple examinatory questions about the speech. Now I am also doing a side project for Dr. Preston, I'm trying to shoot for about a three page essay or more about an interesting artist.

VOCABULARY #4

 slapdash-done too hurriedly and carelessly.

 stagnant-(of a body of water or the atmosphere of a confined space) having no current or flow and often having an unpleasant smell as a consequence.

 succumb- fail to resist (pressure, temptation, or some other negative force).
