I guess sometimes it really depends on the time and place. I will seek others counsel when there is a problem that is super minor, but if it is a bigger problem than I will consult one of three people. My bestfriend, my parents, and or my closest teachers. Sometimes I will just handle something head on if I need to but taking time to think about every possible outcome of a situation is usually what I will start to do first.

DESIGN
(physical, structural, and cultural)
Environment is key to having a clear mind and creating some of your best thoughts. My too main environments of creation and "fungsh-wae" are on the streets and in my room where I make music. Now I can point out a lot of features in my environment that are for relaxation and a clear head. I have a nice big window with blinds to make it light or dark, an extremely comfortable bed that is positioned to face the window as well as the T.v. The lamp I have has a colored bulb so it isn't as intense on the eyes at night. Now there are a lot more but you get my point. The environments we work in has a substantial reaction in how we work. They can quickly put us into good or bad moods, lazy or on-top, stressed out or relaxed and this is why we all create, or gravitate, to environments that we work at our best in. Now the structural aspect of the environment also plays a big factor. Inclosed or outdoors, hot or cold temperatures blah bah blah. I really explained the jist of it so instead of "bs" and ramble on I'll safe you the last 5 mins.

I LEARNED ABOUT R.I.C.E. TREATMENT !
Rest
Ice
Compress
Elevate
I am a skateboarder, I'll always be one and this break I got hurt. Understandable because any athlete knows that there are injuries involved with sports. I rolled my ankle this weekend filming for a video. Not to get off topic but the last video I made last year premiered at my local skate shop (oneway board shop) and sold about 23 copy's of it on DVD as well. Anyway I have really been busting my brains over this next video, mainly because I have to film and be filmed. My injury scared me and made me think about injuries and time frame. All though I have treated my ankle very well because it has been only three days and I am already walkin on it again. All thanks to R.I.C.E. ! Side note Thank you to Trevor gee for introducing me to the method.

So the articles I read last night were about parenting and the best ways of molding the youth into respectible and responsible people.
READ IT HERE !
Now first off I read the articles beacuse it was an assignment and I'm done with being another student that doesn't do there work in Dr. Preston's class. It is crunch time because senior year is ending quicker that you can say "split." But hear me out ! This is a prime example of why I love Dr. Preston's Class for the shear fact the is it gets us to think. Where else are they teaching the up and coming generation to really monitor how people are raise so we can have the best community as possible. That is all these articles are saying, sure some of them my have some views and perspectives that are way out of line or out dated but hey at least their pitching something.

THE CROSSROADS BETWEEN SHOULD AND MUST
Reading this article put a lot of insight on how to work. Should is what we come to think of first but to engage in the "must" is always a little more difficult. It is easy for all, and must of us can relate to that time and place where we looked back and said "damn, I should have…" So approaching the audience with a want to do better and try harder at our daily tasks, makes it easier for us to accept the "must." I was very inspired when the author was explaining Picasso. Picasso said "it is not what the artist does that counts, but what he is." This was hugely inspirational to me because i stride for originality for yourself especially if you are an artist. Art is never about what is made popular by its fans, art has always been a SELF EXPRESSION(something that come from you) because that is what makes it different and not how anyone else might view, speak, or hear something. The article had a lot of great perspectives and motivational thoughts on how to, not only become successful, but be the best you can.

LOOK AT MY BRAIN !
Well everyone's master piece has a lot of undercover work that many may not even be aware of. For example my master piece is an instrumental album influenced by my class. Now right there we already have music production, audio work, collaborations with others, advancing your melodic/rhythmic skills, staying original and developing as an artist, networking, and expanding you're fan base. All of that just from a simple album. What is really interesting is that this is just my case and for my class mates their's my be drastically different, and what is the main importance is that these master pieces involve a lot of different aspects to them so when hearing or presenting said projects give recognitions to these other skills!
